Jordan + Derek’s Romantic Wedding Details (at My Favorite Bainbridge Island Wedding Venue!)
Jordan and Derek’s wedding day was nothing short of perfect. The day was filled with so many perfectly placed small details and so many heartfelt, emotional moments that were so special to capture! I’ll be dreaming about this modern black and white wedding for the rest of my days.
My Favorite Bainbridge Island Wedding Venue as a Seattle Wedding Photographer:
The day was extra special because it took place at my favorite Bainbridge Island wedding venue – the Manor House at Pleasant Beach! This venue was the perfect backdrop for Jordan and Derek’s day, and each of their details complemented the wedding venue perfectly.
One of my favorite things about the Manor House is that you can make it anything you want, no matter your wedding style or aesthetic! Jordan and Derek opted for modern, black and white wedding decor, which looked stunning against the green foliage and existing black and white details at the Bainbridge Island wedding venue.
How to Design and Create Your Wedding Day Aesthetic:
When thinking about how you want your wedding to look, think about how you want your wedding to feel. Focus on the parts of the day that are important to you and consider how you want to spend the day feeling. Are you more laid-back? Are you more type A and want everything to be perfect? Are you more bold or more minimal? Look at the answers to these questions and be realistic about what you want your wedding day to look like!
Jordan and Derek wanted their wedding to be the perfect mix of fun and laid-back. It was important to them that everyone had a good time, but that it was done in style. The couple put in a lot of effort planning a wedding day where everything flowed smoothly for the guests – no long lines or awkward lulls.
They wanted their loved ones to really be able to feel their love and feel present throughout the whole evening, so they incorporated a lot of details that helped that happen. At the ceremony site, they had their guests greeted with a phone guestbook and welcome champagne to kick off the celebration!
Why Details Matter:
The small details bring the whole day together – they’re what elevates your wedding and makes everything exactly how you want it to feel! People will notice the small, thoughtful details of your wedding day, and that’s what they’ll remember. Anything that shows your personality as a couple is so important for your celebration!
Jordan and Derek did small details like no one else, from monogrammed cocktails to Polaroid cameras for their guests to help capture the day.
The Execution of Your Wedding Day:
After nailing down your wedding vision, creating the perfect vendor team that will help you execute the plan is top priority. Doing your research to find wedding vendors that align with the vision for your day will be so important, because those are the people who will actually be running the show on the day of, while you’re enjoying your day.
The vendors that helped create Jordan and Derek’s perfect wedding day were:
Ceremony / Reception Venue: The Manor House at Pleasant Beach
Wedding Planner: Bixby + Pine
Videographer: Visionary Filmhouse
Stationary: 26 Pressed
Dress: a&be'
Bridesmaid Dresses: Show Me Your Mumu
Hair: Valentine Collective
Makeup: Shannon Thacker & Lina Wiese
My Favorite Moments of Jordan and Derek’s Wedding Day:
Other than the wedding taking place at my favorite Bainbridge Island wedding venue, my favorite moments of the couple’s special day were taking golden hour photos at the local theater (with their names on the sign!), the reception that turned into a wild dance party, and snuggles from their pup!
Let Jordan and Derek’s wedding day show you just how important details are to making your wedding day special, unique, and exactly how you want it. When you put meaning behind each detail, each vendor, and most importantly, each moment, you end up with wedding day photos that radiate how special the day was and feel exactly how it felt!
“Where do I even begin… Hannah is an absolutely INCREDIBLE photographer! She was the first wedding vendor I booked, and it set such a positive tone for the rest of the process!! She was incredibly kind and genuinely interested in getting to know me and my now husband, which reassured me that she truly understood my vision and the vibe I wanted for our wedding photos. On the big day, Hannah brought so much expertise, creative ideas, and set props that made my Pinterest board come to life and then some. She also got me SO many incredible photos back so quickly after the big day! I know waiting to see photos can be tough, and she managed to get them to me in no time. Everyone who interacted with her — friends, family, and other vendors — couldn’t stop raving about her kindness and efficiency! I couldn’t recommend her more highly!!”
